WinZip

• WinZip is another Windows compression utility.
• It is installed on the NT machines in the McBryde 118 lab.
• If you wish to install it on your system, you can download it from www.winzip.com
• If you are in the lab, you can start WinZip by selecting Programs, WinZip from the Start Menu.
• The WinZip interface looks like this:
  

  

  
  You can perform almost the same tasks using WinZip that you can with PKZIP for Windows. If you want to learn more about how to perform those tasks, click on Brief Tutorial in the Help menu.

• You can use other DOS archive and compression utilities (e.g. >arj, lzh, tar) in conjunction with WinZip (if you have them installed on your system)
