Eudora Mailboxes

You can store messages in separate mailboxes using Eudora. This allows you to organize the mail you have received.

Default Mailboxes

You will notice your mailbox window on the left side of the screen. To change to a mailbox, simply double click on it. By default, Eudora uses three mailboxes:

  1. In Box -- Eudora stores your incoming mail here by default.
  2. Out Box -- Eudora stores copies of all your outgoing mail in this mailbox.
  3. Trash -- Eudora stores messages you have deleted in this box (until you empty the trash -- very similar to the recycle bin in Windows 95)

Moving Messages To Your Mailbox

Now that you have a new mailbox, you will want to transfer messages to it.

It is a good idea to keep multiple mailboxes. That way you can organize your mail efficiently. Many people keep mail about different subjects or from different people in different mailboxes. You will need to experiment to determine what strategy is best for you.
