Eudora Mailboxes

You can store messages in separate mailboxes using Eudora. This
allows you to organize the mail you have received.

Default Mailboxes
You will notice your mailbox window on the left side of the
screen. To change to a mailbox, simply double click on it. By
default, Eudora uses three mailboxes:
- In Box -- Eudora stores your incoming mail here by
default.
- Out Box -- Eudora stores copies of all your outgoing
mail in this mailbox.
- Trash -- Eudora stores messages you have deleted in
this box (until you empty the trash -- very similar to the recycle
bin in Windows 95)
Creating A New Mailbox
- To create a new mailbox, simply click on the Mailbox
menu and select "New...".

- Type the name of the new mailbox ("test").
- You should see the mailbox test appear in the mailbox window
on the left side of the screen.
Moving Messages To Your
Mailbox
Now that you have a new mailbox, you will want to transfer
messages to it.
- To transfer a file from your out mailbox to the test mailbox,
double click on the out mailbox.
- Now either click on a message and drag it to the test mailbox
or right click on the message and select "transfer ->
test".
- Now double click on the test mailbox. You should see the
message in your mailbox.
It is a good idea to keep multiple mailboxes. That way you can
organize your mail efficiently. Many people keep mail about different
subjects or from different people in different mailboxes. You will
need to experiment to determine what strategy is best for you.
