WS FTP Connection Example

WS FTP is a freeware FTP client that is available for MS Windows
based platforms. If you do not have a copy of it installed on your
system, you might consider downloading
it and installing it.
If you are using the McBryde 118 lab to access these web pages you
can start WS FTP by clicking on
going to "Programs", "Internet Tools", and finally
clicking on "WS_FTP".
You should be presented with a screen
similar to this:

lab

Using WS_FTP from the CS lab may require using the lab
FTP proxy server. If you cannot connect directly use the
following directiosn. All proxy connections must go through
the gatekeeper server. When using WS_FTP from the
CS lab, (NOT from other locations), the Host
Name: field must always be set to
gatekeeper. The
User ID: field must be set
to user@machine.sub-domain.domain.
To connect to the Eudora site the settings would be:
Host Name: gatekeeper
User ID: anonymous@ftp.qualcomm.com
