Reading Articles

Threads

Threads are messages and all the replies to that message.

WinVn

• Double click on a newsgroup to open the article window.
• Previously read articles display in BLUE.
• Threads are indicated with the > character.
• Double click on an article to open it in the article window for reading.

  

Free Agent

• Once you have subscribed to the group, a list of articles will appear in the upper right window. The status and subject of an article will display. Threads are shown by indented names below the original post when expanded. (To expand click on the button.In the compacted state, threads show up as numbers in brackets to the left of the subject.

  

• Double click on the article of interest and the article will appear in the bottom window for viewing.
