Comments on Readings

In the readings there are many points raised about clustering. Details of the algorithms are omitted, but many references are given. There are no real timing tests given, and little discussion about clustering effects on efficiency (by having similar items on the same page).

The chapter attempts to organize the matter, by grouping the algorithms, but does so in a repetitive fashion, without going as far as one might to have a common template for presenting the various approaches and key findings.

The course notes provide some pictures to help visualize what is going on. Also, there are some examples, that should be of particular help regarding the Exercise.
