- How does the concept of linking
effect the way we write, access information, share and collaborate,
connect information sources around the world, use computer interfaces,
construct information bases, and develop new information systems?
- Special Class Presentations
- The short lecture will
provide a brief overview of the field. The first McB 102 session will
remind people about KMS, and then use it to access the Hypertext Compendium.
The second McB 102 session allows work on the exercises.
There is a very nice
videotape on Intermedia, that relates directly to the second reading. The
tape is on reserve in the media area of the library,
and is highly recommended.
- Computer Exercises:
- The exercises will involve xmosaic, Adobe
Acrobat,
and KMS (with the Hypertext Compendium).
