knowledge bases be of use, what intelligent human behavior of expert
search intermediaries can be modeled by IR systems, and how can AI
methods be applied to improve IR system operations?
- Special Class Presentations, Dates:
- During two classes there
will be lectures by the instructor on the topic of KBIR.
- Computer Exercises:
- None will be required, though it is
encouraged that you read about and try the Inquery system.
- Paper Exercises:
- For this unit only, students will write
an essay of about 500 words, to be graded by the instructor.
