We will connect our local software (e.g., MARIAN) with the UDLA system developed in Puebla, MX. The Mexican funding agency CONACyT will support Dr. Alfredo Sanchez to work with us (in a project wherein Ryan Richardson will serve as GRA). Dr. Sanchez has done extensive work with a floristic digital library and will allow us to use his software. Of particular interest are information visualization tools. See online articles: AGS, MiBiblio, Mutant, and floristic digital library.
The first effort is to work with the UDLA group and install their software locally, getting it to operate correctly, and trying it out with some of our data.
