• Meet near elevator on 4th floor.
• Caryl Gray will review plans for class, break class into small groups.
• Each of the following areas will be visited for 15-20 minutes per group:
  • Dialog Demonstration (Marica McKenzie and Tami Tomasello will share the time)
  • Internet Resources/ Databases available via Internet (Buddy Litchfield)
  • Science Citation Index on CD-ROM (Ed Lener)
  • Search Stategies/ How to develop a search using indexing terms and natural language (Caryl Gray)

Other information:

• WITH, NOT and NEAR can be used in Boolean queries.

• Science Reference Homepage, which leads to Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (Note: We can only access the titles we subscribe to in paper and these are indicated by Bold Type on the List of Journals link.)
