Please work with KMS and the Hypertext Compendium (HTC). You will need to work with video and the X Window System. Note that this is an important example of a hypertext system and well-crafted hyperbase.
To find the Compendium, use the Goto at the bottom of each KMS frame, and enter in ACMHTCtop1, or goto ei1 and select the anchor there. Another route is to goto cs5604.85 which is the KMS frame for the HT Unit course notes, and follow the link there.
In the Compendium, please find the articles about Intermedia under the Systems topic. One of these articles includes a discussion of how hypertext supports non-lineal thinking, important cognitive styles, and in particular how Intermedia promotes pluralistic thinking. Send the instructor a few comments from students about this.
Another article in the HTC is by Meyrowitz in which he gives challenges that he hopes will be met by 1991. Please tell the instructor in brief what challenge 14 was, mention what page in the Haan et al. article relates most closely to this, and say if you think this challenge has been met yet. Please explain your rationale.
