The following is a sample clicking task that Fitts' Law can be applied to. Simply place the mouse cursor inside the starting object (red circle) and then move the mouse to the target area (blue rectangle). Timing begins as soon as the mouse cursor leaves the starting object and ends when the mouse is inside the target area. The time is displayed at the bottom of the window along with the width and amplitude for the trial.
