Jennifer L. Burt received a B.A. degree in Psychology from Christopher Newport University in 1994 and an M.S. degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering with a concentration in Human Factors Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1996. Currently, she is enrolled as a Ph.D. student in Human Factors Engineering at Virginia Tech. She has authored two articles and one book chapter on the subject of aural alerting signal design and is currently a NASA Graduate Student Researchers Program participant, a student member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, a student member of the Virginia Academy of Science, and a member of Alpha Pi Mu, Psi Chi, and Alpha Chi.Robert Mitchell graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in May of 1997 Magna Cum Laude. Currently, he is a candidate to receive an M.S. in Computer Science and Applications from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in May of 1998 as a participant in the Computer Science 5 Year M.S./B.S. program. His interests include telecommunications, distributed applications, and user interface work. Robert is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Beta Kappa, and Upsilon Pi Epsilon.
Luoqi Zhang received a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Wuhan University, China in 1995 and worked as a software engineer in Powerise Software Center Co. Ltd. for four months. She came to the United States in 1996 and is currently enrolled as an M.S. student in both the Mathematics and Computer Science Departments at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
