(Scenario 2 - Using the On-Line Debate System)
This participant's second most common goal is "using the debate system."Participant #5 accesses the debate system in the same way that Subject #3 accomplishes his third most common goal. Once he has accessed the on-line debate system, articipant #5 wants to read several arguments at the same time. He finds a "Linearize" button, clicks on this button, and sees that the hierarchical structure of the debate statements is linearized; now he can view several arguments simultaneously. Finally, this participant wants to return the page to its former structure. He hopes that there is a button to unlinearize the page, but such a button does not exist; so, this participant clicks the "Back" button to obtain the former structure of the debate statements.
(Scenario 3 - Checking the Descriptions of Assignments)
This participant's third most common goal is "checking the description of assignments."After achieving his first goal, Participant #5 is able to click on any of the assignments to get the requirements associated with a specific assignment.
