Creating an individual financial report from Banner Finance data

George provides reports to his supervisor informing him of the status of their department's accounts and financial activity. First, George prints the result of a web-based Brio report and then he manually re-enters the pertinent data into his spreadsheet report. George does not realize the possibility of electronic transfer of his data to an Excel spreadsheet through IWA reporting, but wishes there was a way to place his Brio results in a spreadsheet application.

Brio provides a way to transfer data:

+ allows users to create individual reports with Brio results
+ eliminates re-entering of data
+ reduces the number of errors made in transcribing the data
- it is not obvious to users that this is available
- users have to learn how to use another application, IWA reporting
- users tend to get settled in the way they handle inconveniences and don't take time to look for solutions
