Warcraft game user's manual [8]Warcraft is a real time strategy game built into a fantasy setting. It deals with a war between the human kingdom of Azeroth and an alliance of monsters known as the Orcish Horde. Once the user decides which side to play on, they take over as the commander of their side's forces. The game progresses through a series of goal-oriented scenarios, where specific objectives must be completed to finish each scenario. Starting with an easy scenario, the user gradually gains control over more and more types of military units, buildings, and technologies. Only in the final scenario does the user have all of the game's features at their disposal. Moving forces around in battle is of course a major part of the game. But logistics, resource management, and technology development are all key parts as well. A player must balance short-term tactical gains against long term strategic advances.
We chose this game for several reasons. First, the game has a user interface that most people consider easy to use. Despite its simplicity, it is very powerful, covering a wide range of functionalities that are available to the player.
Fundamentally, as the commander of the Azeroth army, you have to protect the human settlements by producing food to feed the people and the army, mine gold to fund these activities, harvest lumber for constructing different structures, train peasants to harvest lumber, gold, and to construct various structures, and train footmen (soldiers) to protect and attack. Peasants are trained in the town hall, while Footmen are trained in the barracks, which is to be constructed by the Peasants.
To win the game you must eliminate all opposing forces, using different war strategies.

They don't have any fighting skills and are powerless against an orcish onslaught. |
