Your final grade in the course will be a function of several components:

Presentations (10%): Each student will give one summary presentation of one of the optional readings.

Short Papers (20%): Each student will write one short paper concerning the system he or she demonstrates as part of a group.

Group Projects (40%): Students will work in small groups (3-4) on a design or evaluation project, including submission of a project plan, a final report, and a class presentation.

Final Exam (25%): There will be an open-book, open-notes, essay-style final exam given.

Class Participation (5%): Students will receive a participation score based on contributions to class discussions and out-of class demonstrations.
