HCI (or other behavioral, experimental design, etc.) courses taken:
I have taken only the Usability Engineering class taught by Dr. Hartson last semester.

Software development skills:
I worked for American Management systems for 4 years prior to starting my graduate degree. At AMS I worked on multiple projects ranging from maintenance of legacy Financial and Human Resource software to design and implementation of a Powerbuilder/Sybase invoice system for a large state agency. The majority of my programming experience is with C, but I'm interested in learning Java and upgrading my C++ skills.

Research interests:
Currently my research interests lie in the field of HCI.

Personal information:
I have been married for four years, and my wife is a Speech Pathologist for the Roanoke County School Systems. I enjoy most sports including: basketball, football, baseball/softball, and have currently picked up an interest in volleyball.

Known schedule constraints:
Aside from this class and my TA office hours TBA, I have classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 11-12:15 and 2-3:15
