This course is designed to help graduate students progress toward their thesis or dissertation work through reading, writing, presentation, moderating discussion and participating in seminar style class sessions.
For students new to research, a key aim is to prepare and present a research proposal. For students further along in their research, more focused research will be presented. For all students, much of the learning will occur when trying to assist and debate peers' efforts.
Any topic of research related to Data and Information is appropriate to pursue in this class. However, students interested in the NSF Research Infrastructure Project Interactive Accessibility: Breaking Barriers to the Power of Computing are particularly encouraged to participate.
