Upon entering the site, click on the cartographic and architectural link and conduct a word search. This site supplies the box numbers in which materials can be found.

This site allows a keyword search. Enter the keyword "historical" and this provides access to a variety of information.

Smithsonian Institution.
This site provides access to much of the Museum's research. Access the Query form and search for the keywords "historical" and "maps."

This site is a collection of links that include panoramic maps of the United States from 1847-1925. Some of the links included are the Hargrett Library Rare Map Collection and a collection entitled Paris Maps of the 18th and 19th Century.

This site contains JPEG images of maps of early America. Maps included are Boston circa 1800, the Siege of Quebec, Surrender of Cornwallis, and General Washington's Battle Engagements in 1776. This site has the ability to let the user zoom in or out of specific areas of the map, which is quite useful for seeing details.
