Digital Watermarking
A digital watermark is an identifying characteristic of a picture, audio clip, movie, or any other piece of digital media. The watermark may be visible, such as an recognizable logo, or undectable to humans. They are used as an attempt to enforce copyright restrictions; for example, the watermark in a copied file can be identified by web-roaming spiders.
