Honors 3004 - Multimedia Technology and Projects
Final Project Package
Each project must include the following components when it is
turned in at the end of the semester as a package.
This package will be a useful resource for students taking this
course in later semesters.
- A VHS videotape with any video materials produced (if any).
- A CD-ROM or tape with all files of importance related to the project
including
- A Powerpoint, PDF, or HTML file that was used in the final presentation
of the project, and serves to document the semester efforts.
- All original images, audio files, video files, text files.
- All Authorware, Director, HTML or other authoring files.
- A 3-ring notebook final report on the project with the following:
- A 1 page title and abstract.
- A 2 page executive summary aimed to sell readers on
wanting to use your project.
- A 2 page report on lessons learned, advice to others trying to
undertake similar projects.
- A User Manual to help people learn how to use your project.
- A Developer Manual for people who will try to add to your
project, developing it further, so they know what to look at
if there are problems, or where enhancements are needed.
- A frequently-asked-question report, that provides answers to
questions you have dealt with regarding the project.
- A copy of all handouts and presentation slides turned in during
the semester, that documents the evolution of the project.
- A credits report, which gives contact information on all
project members, and outlines the role that each played.
- Contracts for each of the team members.
- A log of time spent on the project, for each team member,
giving rough estimates per week, for each category:
- Meeting
- Defining requirements
- Designing
- Capturing
- Converting, editing
- Authoring
- Integrating
- Documenting
- Testing
NOTE: Online versions of the above are generally acceptable too.
