The ACTA's petition for regulating distribution and use of the Internet telecommuinications software was proposed on March 4, 1996. There has not been much progress in respect to the Internet telecommunications software distributions and usgage of it. The same day on which the NTIA joined opposition, May 8, 1996, few other professional organizations have joined the opposition of the petition including Netscape Communications Corporation, Voxware, Inc. and InSoft. So far no regulation has been set up against the Internet telecommunicaions software.
