Authoring: Making MPEG CD
- Audio and video are processed separately, initially, but then tied together using the MPEG system standard.
- Motion detection, preparing vectors, and image compression are key parts of the video processing.
- Collected multimedia objects must be cataloged, labeled, put into a database.
- Building an application requires linking, scripting, integration of various portions, and either programming with a language or authoring tool.
- Producing a CD requires layout on disk, interleaving, simulation and testing, and eventual mastering and replication.
