Gordon Miller, III, who runs the Multimedia Lab, will give the CS Graduate Seminar on Wedn. Feb. 22. You are welcome to come to McB 113 for the 4-5pm presentation he will give about multimedia.

CLASS ON 2/22-23 - Videotapes
We will watch some videotapes relevant to this part of the course.

CLASS ON 2/22-23 - eXodus and KMS
Mr. Hwang, the GTA, will demonstrate eXodus and X Window applications using it like KMS. You can look at the overview on KMS and at specific instructions regarding using KMS from eXodus. You are also welcome to run KMS from DECstations, DEC Alphas, X terminals, etc. in other locations such as McB 116. If you goto cs4984sh1 you can see notes about multimedia that have helpful information, which will be supplemented by a number of diagrams later.
BLOODMOBILE
There is a critical shortage of blood. If you can, donate to the American Red Cross, Tue-Thur, Feb. 21-23, 10-4, in Squires Commonwealth Ball Room.
LIBRARY FIELD TRIP
Remember the library field trip on Monday/Tuesday February 27-28. This should provide valuable insight regarding the Information Access part of our course. Note that the instructor will be at the ACM CSC events and so will miss the Monday class, but the GTA will be available as well as the Library presenters.
