Choices and Challenges - Quality of Life in the Electronic Village
On Thursday 3/30 this conference will take place at the Donaldson Brown Continuing Education Center. Everyone is encourage to attend as much of the day long-event as possible. Class will be cancelled on 3/30. Class on 3/29, accordingly, will be turned into a lab session, with the instructor present but not lecturing. This will be a good chance to catch up on old assignment and quizes, to ask for special tutoring, etc.
Problems with video.cs.vt.edu
The root disk for video has been sent to be replaced. All files not backed up recently have been lost. I'm sure we are at least up-to-date through 1/30 but that means that some accounts have disappeared altogether. Miss Su (anansu@csgrad.cs.vt.edu), the system administrator, regrets the situation and her failure to get proper backups. She is willing to help out as much as possible. First priority is to recreate accounts for those without them. She will be happy to change passwords as necessary.
