Acrobat

Adobe Systems Inc. developed PostScript (see Adobe's home page for it), fonts, and the Acrobat family of products, all of which are described on the Adobe Home Page.

The Acrobat family has three key products:

• Distiller
• Exchange
• Reader

You should set up your copy of Netscape or Mosaic to launch Reader or Exchange to handle PDF documents. For Netscape select "Preferences" under "Options". Go to the "Helper Applications" screen and fill in the bottom as follows:

• Mime type: application
• Subtype: pdf
• Application: Acrobat Reader 2.0
• File type: PDF
• Action: Launch Application
