Reader
Reader is Adobe's freely available tool to read PDF files. From the Tool Bar or through the View menu one can have any of 3 views: page, page plus thumbnail sketch, or page plus bookmarks. From the Tool Bar or from the Tool Menu one can:
- use the Hand Tool to move the current page around,
- Zoom in (+) to enlarge the page,
- Zoom out (-) to see more of the page. The View menu allows one to zoom to a particular magnification (less than 100% to zoom out, more than 100% to zoom in). Also from the View menu, or from the Tool bar, one can go to the first page, previous page, next page, or last page. From the View menu one can go to a page by number, as can be done by using the slider on the right side of the Reader window. From the View menu or the Tool bar one can go backward or forward in following hypertext links. Also from the View menu or Tool bar one can see a page at Actual Size, Fit the Page to the Window, or Fit the Width to the Window. Finally, from the Tools menu or Tool bar one can Find some text string, or Find again. Note that links can be to other documents, in which case there may be several windows opened (as can be seen from the Window menu).
