What are the types of video tape drives - and the sizes, formats, and differences between them?
What are the differences between video cameras - quality, cost, lenses, no. of pixels/lines/resolution, signal output?
What are differences between signal formats: digital vs. analog, component vs. composite, NTSC vs. PAL vs. SECAM, VHS vs. SVHS, 8mm vs. H-8?
How is video performance measured? What artifacts can you identify?
What is different in a studio from a normal room? [Hint: consider lighting, air flow, background noise.]
What are the roles of special lighting equipment: barn doors, reflectors, diffusers, spots, floods, filters, fresnel lenses, etc.
