Demos in Class 4/22:

Much of the 4/22 class will take place in McB 102. There will be Videoconferencing demonstrations of ShowMe and MBone.

Projects:

Be sure to arrange everything for your presentations on Thursday and Tuesday and to rehearse in advance. You will have 10 minutes for each presentation. Instructions on other project deliverables will be supplied later this week. The following are available or have been reserved for use so far:

THE RENAISSANCE MAN:

See the Virtual Theatre Home Page about a cyberspace theatre exploration/experiment April 25, 26, 27 at 8 pm and also at 2 P.M. on the 27th. It hopes for a world-wide "virtual audience" and uses Apple Media Conferencing, from IP address 128.173.116.111 to connecting theatre to cyberspace and includes a "virtual performer."

Video viewing station:

In McB 110, on the left, is a TV connected to a Hi-8 and an SVHS player. This has been set up for people to review materials collected so that editing on the Radius system can be speeded up.

Compression on Radius System:

See instructions on the Radius system under Field Trips or from the Computers and Tools menu. There are guidelines on how to capture and compress video. Please consider these as you finish up work on your projects.

Radius system problems:

Please work with Win Heagy if you have problems with the Radius system. He can get it working if it stops - do not spend a lot of time fiddling with it. Please DO NOT install any software on it.

Instructor Travel:

The instructor will be out of town 5/2, 5/6, 5/9 and 5/10 so please plan accordingly.
