This laboratory is one of three funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) as part of the 5 year Research Infrastructure award made for 1993-1998. Professor R. Ehrich directs this effort, that is coordinated with the other 4 Principal Investigators: E. Fox (CS), H.R. Hartson (CS), D. Hix (CS), R. Williges (ISE).

This particular lab is directed by E. Fox, and deals specifically with multimedia, hypertext, and other information access activities by way of providing capture, processing, and storage facilities.
