CS4624 SoundMachine

SoundMachine 2.1 is a recorder and player for AU and AIFC files. It allows one to have a queue of programs to play, and to add or remove entries from that queue.

The Control menu determines what appears at the bottom of the control panel:

• Format (e.g., Sun mu-law, A-law, ADPCM, 8 bit linear),
• Number of channels (e.g., mono),
• Sample size (e.g., 8 bits),
• Compression type (none, 3:1, 6:1),
• Total time,
• Elapsed time,
• Remaining time,
• Volume (dB, e.g., 0, 3, ..., 33),
• Buffer size (e.g., 36.9 kB, 107.3 kB).

The Recording menu allows choice of either AU or AIFC, decision regarding use of a low pass filter, and setting of: compression, format, and sample rate.
