CS4624 xprcedit

The PRC Digital Image Editor runs on video.cs.vt.edu and can be launched directly by users of that machine by typing "xprecedit" or indirectly through Mosaic (if you are on a unit that can accept an X session) by clicking here.

Once it is running, use the File menu and Option selection, then replace the information under Filter with "/u4/pages/*" and hit Return to move to the tree of scanned in page images. Now, in the Directories window double click on "/u4/pages/acm" to look at publications by ACM. Next pick a journal of interest, such as "cacm". Continue down the tree, specifying volume, number, article (abbreviated using the first author's last name) and finally whichever pages you wish to read. To see the page numbers you will need to scroll to the right in the Files part of the display.

If the page is hard to read, use View/Zoom/ToBox to zoom in, and then scroll around to read parts not on the screen. Note that after selecting ToBox, click at the upper left of the region you want to read, holding down as you drag a box from that point to the lower right of the desired region, let go of the mouse, and then click again inside the box.
