Setup to Capture Video with Premiere


Here is a step-by-step guide for capturing video within the Adobe Premiere application.

  1. Determine the source media.
  2. Select INs and OUTs on the Audio/Video switcher.
    1. To set the IN/OUT switches for the SVHS player you would press OUT Telecast, IN SVHS, OUT AMP, IN Telecast.
  3. Set device control switch.
  4. Start Adobe Premiere.
    1. Set new project settings.
    2. Set "Scratch Disks" from the File->Preferences->Scratch Disks... menu option.
    3. Select "Set Device Control" menu option from the File -> Preferences menu to set device control.
    4. Select "Movie Capture" option from the File -> Capture menu, or press F10.
    5. Select and Set "Video Input" from the Movie Capture menu.
    6. Select and Set "Audio Input" from the Movie Capture menu.
