Reading Your Mail
- From the File menu, choose Check Mail.
- When your mail has transferred, click OK in the dialog box. The In mailbox will
appear, listing your message(s).
- Messages are listed in the mailbox windows as individual message summaries. A message
summary is divided into the following fields:
- priority and status of the message.
- the name or address of the sender of the message.
- the time and date the message was sent.
- the size of the message in kilobytes (1024 characters).
- the subject.
- To open a message, double click on the line containing its message summary. You will see
the new message. Here is a sample mail message:
The message header that you see is in the short form. The short header contains the
following:
- the date the message was sent
- the recipient(s)
- the sender
- the subject of the message.
- You can close the message window by clicking on the Close box in the upper left-hand
corner of the message window or by moving to the File menu and choosing Close.
