This course has been developed under a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). One of the purposes of the study is to determine how learning can be enhanced and augmented using networked information. Towards this end, a short online survey must be taken at the beginning of the course to collect background data on students. It is a short survey and will only take a few minutes. Answer the questions using your body of knowledge about the Internet/Web immediately prior to taking the course. We are trying to gauge how much you have learned during the course.
The survey information will be used by Va Tech and the Computer Science Deptartment to improve the course and to track your learning progress for the NSF funded study. All information will be kept in strictest confidence. Individual information will not be released or reported in any document. Only group statistics will be included in publications dealing with this study. The survey will only be available during the beginning of the course.
This survey is NOT a test. It will not affect your grade in this course in any way, unless you fail to take it.
