- May or may not have a formal education
- Journalist have degrees in History, Journalism, English, or Communication
- Trained in graphics design, HTML, and a navigation tool.
Salary
- Range from $35-$100 per article for a free lance journalist
- Depends on the type of article written and audience interest
- Work for a company or magazine could expect a pay range of $20K-$60K
- Depends on the firm they work for and the number of experience years
- Lower range is for beginning writers; Upper range is for editors
