Given preceding description of teaching methodologies, how are typical current WWW applications designed?
Wide-area dissemination: Television/Videotext model. Solving pragmatic problem in a specific setting which may or may not be generalizable to other settings. A teacher in a K-12 classroom would find it far easier to pass out papers than to put everything online. (Difference in backgrounds; available time, etc.) There is little educational difference between software distributed on a disk or on the WWW. Aerospace example. A worksheet is a worksheet is a worksheet. School in England: notebook computers; efficiency at its worst. Expensive worksheets!

Online resources and projects: a nod in the right direction
